I get very excited around this time of the year because of AKB48’s summer single.
Their summer releases are always my favourite songs of the year and the upcoming release seems like its gonna be a big hit too!
According to fan sources, the PV for this song was shot in Okinawa by the video director of “Heavy Rotation”, and around 32 members will be featured, so it’s definitely something to look forward to!
Unveiling the jacket covers…
Mayuyu and Oshima Yuko are featured on the covers of Type A Limited Edition, while Tomochin and Paruru grace the covers on Type B Limited Edition. I can’t agree more with such a combination because fans can instantly tell a story just by looking at their covers.
Mayuyu and Yuko are the biggest rivals for this year’s No.1 position in the AKB General Elections. However, they are good friends BTS and proclaim themselves as the “oshiri sisters”. Cover A LE alone stirs up mixed feelings for fans who ship the pair and can’t decide on whom to vote for.
On Cover B LE, Tomochin and Paruru is another interesting pair as one is about to exit and another is the incoming ace. Both happen to be newly formed BFFs as well, so it’s shouldn’t be hard to guess how happy they’d be to appear on the same cover.
