HKT48 perform new single “Melon Juice” in Tokyo Idol Festival 2013

1 Aug

HKT48, the youngest sister group in the 48 family, showed up in the Tokyo Idol Festival 2013 held in Odaiba, Tokyo to perform a medley of songs including “Aitakatta”, “Ponytail to Shushu” as well as their original songs “Hatsukoi Butterfly”, “Suki!Suki!Skip” and upcoming single “Melon Juice”.

Their 2nd single “Melon Juice” is an upbeat and interactive song where the audience is asked to shout “Melon Juice!” towards the middle of the song. While the song itself is rather childish, it fits the HKT girls since they are still young and cute.  However,  Sashihara Rino is super awkward here…..can you imagine the embarrassment of singing this song at her age?

HKT48 Team H: Anai Chihiro, Oota Aika, Kodama Haruka, Sashihara Rino, Matsuoka Natsumi, Miyawaki sakura, Murashige Anna, Motomura Aoi, Moriyasu Madoka,

HKT48 Kenkyuusei: Akiyoshi Yuuka, Okada Kanna, Okamoto Naoko, Tashima Meru, Tani Marika, Tomonaga Mio, Fuchigami Mai
