Shimazaki Haruka announced her graduation from AKB48 through a new advertisement for “Baitoru”, a job seeking website.

“I will be ending my activities with AKB within the year,” she reported. Her last handshake will be Christmas Eve, and last stage performance will be 2 days after.

Regarding her future she said “I can’t say i’m going to be an actress with my abilities now, but there’s the meaning of being positive about it. It has always been my dream to become a seiyuu for Ghibli.”

Even tho i could see it coming, i expected some news about Kojiharu to come around first. Anyway this tie-in with Baitoru is such a untrendy way of graduating.

Well, good for her. I hope she has a good last couple of months.

After all the hype and pushing she received through the years, she is gonna leave the group without anything remarkable to remember about her. Possible, like the same way she is announcing her graduation ….

They should just sponsor the whole graduation end to end… “Paruru’s graduation is brought to you by the new Nissan Skyline GTR, just the car you need to get out a place in a hurry and by Budget Table Salt, use when things aren’t salty enough”

Kojiharu’s graduation can be sponsored by Japan Post, seeing how she has been mailing it in for the last three years.

I am surprised her graduation didn’t make any buzz on Japanese news. Well she said before she wanted to graduate and being absent from many AKB activities make her graduation seems pretty obvious.
I don’t think any one is gonna top Maeda’s graduation announcement that one was really shocking after that people just say ohh we see that coming. Anyway I wish her good luck and hope she didn’t end up despairing like most of the 48G graduates members ….

She did get alot of headlines in Japanese news. But i guess we are just bored with the string of graduations so it isn’t much of an impact anymore.
