Johnny’s music programs “Bokura no Ongaku” (helmed by SMAP Kusanagi Tsuyoshi) and “Shin Domoto Kyoudai” (helmed by Kinki Kids) will end their run at the end of September.
These shows have been airing for more than 10 years and are well-received by the public. So why the sudden axe? Apparently, the producer behind these shows, Sakuchi-san, has a stance of banning lip-synching on his shows. This has offended major entertainment and recording companies. The management of Fuji TV decided to axe Sakuchi-san’s programmes to quell the protests.
“Bokura no Ongaku” has been airing since April 2004 while “Shin Domoto Kyoudai” has been airing since April 2001.
NOOO!!!
I can’t speak much for Bokura no Ongaku but i’ve seen very high quality performances from them, my favorite being Tohoshinki’s performances below.

As for Domoto Kyoudai,it’s not that much of a music show but one of my favourite varieties since it brings so many of my fandoms together. Koichi’s fan service, Takamina’s fights with the cameraman, Tsuyoshi’s banter with Koichi, and the occasional VIP appearances from Sato Takeru, Oguri Shun etc. I can’t imagine this show being cut just because of silly fights with the entertainment agencies!
