I can’t believe i missed this piece of news!
I still remember getting all excited when their management decided to bring AKB48 to Singapore 2 years ago. They opened a AKB48 cafe and official shop in *SCAPE, and even planned to bring the girls here twice a month for performances and stuff. But things didn’t go well and the performances eventually died away. The shop and cafe also didn’t do well and i believe is closed as of last year. I’m really sad when anything related to jpop doesn’t kick off in Singapore because i’ve been into jpop for so many years!
Anyway, AKB48 will be performing at the Tokyo Auto Salon event in Marina Bay Sands, on 2 days from 12-13 April 2013. 16 members will be chosen to fly over to perform their classic hits like “Heavy Rotation”. Fans will be happy to know that purchasing the tickets to this event online will allow them to redeem limited mosh pit passes on a first come first serve basis. Ticket prices are $25 for 1 day, $70 for 3 days and the link to purchase is here. For more details, visit their Facebook page.
Update 1: . Online ticketing will close on the 8th April,so for those who wish to redeem mosh pit passes, remember to buy your tickets by then!!!
Update 2: There is now a online contest on their Facebook page to win mosh pit passes.
Update 3: The list of members coming are Abe Maria, Akimoto Sayaka, Rina Chikano, Nana Fujita, Kawaei Rina, Maeda Ami, Kikuchi Ayaka, Natsumi Matsubara, Matsui Sakiko, Nakatsuka Tomomi, Sato Amina, Sato Sumire, Shimada Haruka, Takahashi Juri, Suzuki Shihori, Tano Yuuka
Update 4: There will be 2 meet and greet sessions, 3.15pm on 12th April, 4.30pm on 13th April. The 1-hr performance will be at 6pm on 13th April. If u are planning to go, the best thing to do is just to buy tickets for the 13th so you can go for both the fan session and concert.
I have zero interest in all these car parts and the member lineup is rather boring. Where is Mayuyu or Paruru?!
Out of these 16 girls, i only favor Abe Maria(she stood beside Mariko in Eien Pressure), Kawaei Rina(hailed as next generation ace) and Sato Sumire (she is rather cute). Should i get a ticket and see them?
Sighs, how i wish the event organisers can let me win a ticket!
